We served as the prime consultant for electrical improvements for over 80 schools and facilities in the JeffCo Public Schools District. Improvements included replacing generators at 2 facilities, replacing the electrical service and distribution at 5 schools, surge protection design at 8 facilities, as well as miscellaneous branch circuit and device replacements/additions, exterior lighting improvements, and exit-egress lighting improvements at more than 70 facilities.

Johnson & Wales University | Denver, CO
JWU Denver’s 129-year old Centennial Hall, formerly known as Treat Hall, was renovated into a four-story Student Center with a new auditorium/stage, Student Services Center, offices, culinary areas, and support spaces for a total of approximately 53,700 square feet. Our specific design elements included new electrical service and distribution system design, interior lighting and controls in compliance with IES and IECC, exterior building mount and site lighting modifications, preparation of IECC interior and exterior lighting energy calculations, convenience power receptacles, equipment power, telecom and security systems, and device layouts and specifications for a new fire alarm system.

Arvada K-8 | Arvada, CO
We served as the prime consultant for the lighting, electrical, fire alarm, and security system improvements. Lighting improvements included replacing the entire facility’s fluorescent and HID lighting system with LED lighting and energy conservation controls in compliance with the IECC. Electrical improvements included the replacement and relocation of an existing 2000Amp electrical distribution switchboard to a newly constructed electrical room in conjunction with the required feeder extensions and rerouting. We also replaced the lighting and convenience power branch circuiting throughout the school to comply with the NEC and completely replaced the fire alarm/annunciation and security detection systems.

Pickens Technical College | Aurora, CO
We designed electrical and lighting systems across four buildings to complement expansion of several Pickens Instructional Programs including the Culinary, Barber Shop, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Technician programs. We also designed improvements to the Graphics and CAD Program Areas as well as improvements for the student lounge, offices, bathrooms, a four classroom addition and a new boiler room which provides heating water to all of Building A, replacing existing electric heating coils.

STEM Academy | Highlands Ranch, CO
We renovated an existing two-story building to create a new 65,000 square foot STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) based learning environment for elementary students including 30+ classrooms/labs, a library, multi-purpose activity gym, cafeteria, kitchen, administrative offices, and utility spaces. The design included new lighting and controls in compliance with IECC requirements, convenience power receptacles, and fire alarm system with voice evacuation.
