About Us

Ackerman Engineering, Inc. was established in 2000 as a full-service electrical engineering and lighting design firm. We offer decades of experience and a commitment to customer service unparalleled in the industry.

Our relatively small size and principal involvement on projects allows us to provide a personal and custom-tailored consulting service. We measure our success by the relationships we form and are dedicated to working closely with clients to determine the most comprehensive and cost-effective solutions for their needs.

We have worked on a diverse range of projects and approach each one with enthusiasm and a focus on safety, simplicity, and future flexibility.

Ackerman Engineering, Inc. and/or our staff members are LEED AP-certified members of the USGBC, IES, NFPA, and A4LE, formerly known as CEFPI. We also actively support several non-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the National MS Society, the Special Olympics, Colorado Real EDGE Soccer Club, and local schools/PTAs.

2020 Message from Our Team

We are all facing unprecedented issues and times as the risks associated with Coronavirus impact our lives, families, work, communities, and economy. Our thoughts go out to all those whose lives have been turned upside down and especially to those who are sick, and the families most directly impacted.

Safety is a core value of Ackerman Engineering, Inc. and to that end we want to do everything we can to protect our families, friends, clients, colleagues, and the communities in which we work and live during these difficult times – and do so safely.

Since Monday, March 16 our staff are working remotely including working from home, video conferencing, and web-based collaboration applications, as much as possible to ensure social distancing. Our systems, infrastructure, and pre-virus general policy that is allowing staff to work from home will permit us to continue operations smoothly and seamlessly.

Most of all, we want to let you know we feel a shared sense of community and responsibility to collectively work through this. We have an innate belief in humankind’s ability to adapt, create and find solutions. Our lives may have changed for now, but patience, kindness, compassion, and sincerity will help us find a path forward and ultimately a way past this.
