Ackerman Engineering, Inc. is currently involved in the electrical, lighting, fire alarm, security, and IT design associated with the proposed additions at three Jefferson County Public Schools, Dunstan Middle, Drake Middle, and Ken Caryl Middle.
Dunstan Middle is a 15,000 square foot two story addition that includes eight additional classrooms, two of which will be designed to support science.
Ken Caryl Middle is a 15,000 square foot single story addition that includes eight additional classrooms, six of which will be designed to support science.
Drake Middle is a 26,500 square foot single story addition that will encompass nine general classrooms, three science classrooms, a special education space, a music room, a flex room, some administration spaces, a teacher planning room, as well as modifications to the cafeteria and clinic to support the increased student population.
